Why is Toba lake is worth to visit? Because Lake Toba was once the site of the largest volcanic eruption on Earth in the last two million years, approx some 74,000 years ago. At over 1,145 square km and with a depth of 450 meters, Toba is the largest lake in Southeast Asia and one of the deepest in the world. This awe-inspiring natural wonder in the heart of Sumatra is also home to some incredible scenery, winding mountain roads, historical treasures and fascinating cultural traditions
Outline itinerary:
Day 01 Airport – Bukit Lawang
Upon arrival at the Kuala Namu International Airport, meet and greet with our driver and then continue to Bukit Lawang. Our driver will drop off our guest into parking lot in Bukit Lawang. On arrival at Bukit Lawang proceed to the lodge. After check-in at the Ecolodge for accomodation.
Note:The porter available in Bahorok area to help bring your luggage to hotel with approximately fee IDR 10,000 / bag (Own arrangement)

Day 02 Bukit Lawang – Samosir Island
After breakfast at the lodge, proceed short trek to the surrounding rainforest that is located at the Eastern edge of Gunung Leuser National Park with chance to observe various tropical plants including a tangle of enormous trees, twisting lianas, palms, ferns, and weird & wonderful flowers and to luckily see wild animals. After that visiting Sipiso-piso waterfall One of the highest waterfalls in Indonesia with a height of 120 meters. Located in Tongging Village, Merek District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The location of this waterfall is not far from the largest lake in Indonesia, namely Lake Toba. This waterfall which is at an altitude of 800 meters is formed from an underground river in Plato Karo which flows through a cave on the side of the crater of Lake Toba. After that visiting Rumah bolon and then, proceed to drive to Toledo hotel for accommodation.

Day 3 Samosir Exploration Tour
After breakfast at the Hotel, proceed to drive by Becak to visit Ambarita (Huta Siallagan), Huta Siallagan is a cultural heritage area on the shores of Lake Toba, a Toba Batak cultural heritage with the background of Ruma Bolon. Huta Siallagan is in Siallagan Pinda Raya Village, Simanindo District, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra Province. Then cross from Ambarita to Tomok. This village relies heavily on agriculture, trade and tourism for the livelihood of its people. This village, which is not very large in size, apparently has quite a big influence of modernity among its people.
The many tombs and relics from the megalithic and ancient era make this location one of the most popular Batak cultural sites among tourists. Its location right on the edge of the connecting pier to Parapat also makes it easy for tourists to visit this place. Large tombs such as the tomb of King Sidabutar and his family. After that, proceed to drive to Toledo Hotel for accommodation.

Day 4 Samosir – Medan City
After breakfast at the hotel proceed to drive to Medan for the next accommodation.

Day 5 Medan – Airport
After breakfast at the hotel at the appropriate time, drive to the airport and transfer for the next flight.
